Sally-Anne Andrew is a consummate veteran Washington hostess with years of experience as an event planner/producer. Born in the Kensington section of London, Sally-Anne was ever-imaginative growing up, always open to new adventures and roads less traveled.
Leaving her native England for college across the pond in Florida, Sally-Anne’s captivating, charismatic creative personality proved to be a natural segue into event planning in the Tampa Bay area.
Event Expertise Galore
Sally-Anne’s extensive event-planning career began by working on recreating the legendary Surrealist Dali Balls at the Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg, Florida.
As a member of the Ball Committee she was integral in the conception and execution of fantastical thematic event staging’s, culminating with the Night in an Enchanted Forest Ball and others.
Imagination Unlimited
Enchanting is synonymous with Sally-Anne Andrew.
Enchanted perfectly describes LeFay Cottage.
Sally-Anne was inspired by her tenure working with the Dali Museum to embark upon her own successful event-planning business first in Florida then settling in the DMV, where she met the man of her dreams and raised a family.
Falling in love with the Virginia landscape and the seductive lure of Rappahannock as well, she purchased the unassuming house on Christmas Tree Lane almost two decades ago.
Artsy, beautiful, armed with a mile-long corporate and non-profit experience resume, a beguiling English accent and a Graduate Program Certificate in Event Management from George Washington University, Sally-Anne had all the right stuff.
She joined Williams/Gerard Productions in 1998 as an executive producer and moved onto INVNT at its inception in 2008 as an executive producer before acting as marketing director, overseeing the global public relations initiatives while building the brand.
Sally-Anne’s vision and ingenuity creating an internship program, expanding the infrastructure of the marketing and PR departments, while winning awards and accolades for INVNT caught the interest of Time Inc, which purchased the company in 2015. So began the next chapter for Sally-Anne and LeFay Cottage at Little Washington.
Creating the Dream
The unpretentious, silver lining of a cloud-gray Cape on a craggy Rappahannock mountainside lane beckoned to Sally-Anne.
Years of wholehearted investment followed, converting the getaway to her place of solace. Given her wealth of talent, some toil, inspiration, perspiration, true labors of love and with a few clear-cut Christmas trees, LeFay Cottage became a lifelong fantasy realized.
