I was asked by some friends from Pennsylvania to organize a Virginia wine tour for them for an upcoming girls’ weekend. I jumped at the chance to show off my home state and all it has to offer.

My first and most important task was to find a place for us to stay. I wanted someplace special, in the middle of wine country with a classy atmosphere. I wanted a place where we could unwind and experience the beauty of the Blue Ridge, but not be far away from world-class restaurants and wineries. And that’s what led me to LeFay Cottage at Little Washington.

From the moment my friends and I spoke with Sally-Anne, we knew this was not an ordinary vacation rental for our getaway! As soon as we walked in the door, it was as if we were entering another world. You couldn’t help but exhale. The cottage is beautifully furnished, and the decor makes it incredibly warm and cozy. The large deck in the back was the perfect place for us to gather and celebrate each day.

Sally-Anne couldn’t have been any nicer at check-in. She told us about all the local places to visit for our stay, including the Little Washington Winery which is just up the road! Perfect if you want to stay put and not bother with driving. We actually rented a limo to take us to all the local wineries we wanted to visit, so no one had to worry about driving at all!

We were all so incredibly relaxed just being in the cottage. We could retreat to our rooms with big, comfy beds and soft lighting which made it so easy for us to rejuvenate. This little cottage is magical. All of the smiles in the photos say it all! We had a weekend that we will never forget, and LeFay Cottage at Little Washington made it perfect.
